Jay’s Removal – Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all delivery, moving, and disposal services (“Services”) provided by Jay’s Removal (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By booking a service with us, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following:
1. Services Provided

We offer local delivery, moving, and furniture disposal services across the Greater Vancouver Area.

Services are performed with care and professionalism, but limitations may apply based on item size, weight, property access, and safety considerations.

Service availability is subject to scheduling and capacity.
2. Pricing & Payment

All prices listed are starting rates. Final costs depend on item size, weight, distance, access conditions (stairs, elevators, etc.), and additional services requested.

Quotes are provided prior to confirmation. By booking, you agree to the quoted rate.

Payment is due at or before completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted forms of payment include credit/debit card, e-transfer, and cash.
3. Customer Responsibilities

You must provide accurate details about the items, pickup/drop-off locations, and any special requirements (e.g., stairs, narrow hallways, parking restrictions).

You or an authorized representative must be present during service unless otherwise arranged.

Items must be packed, disconnected (appliances), and ready for pickup unless pre-arranged packing/assembly services are included.

Hazardous, illegal, or unsafe items will not be transported or disposed of.
4. Furniture Disposal

We dispose of items responsibly and may donate or recycle where possible.

Once items are collected for disposal, ownership transfers to Jay’s Removal and they cannot be retrieved.

Disposal services do not include hazardous waste or restricted materials.
5. White Glove vs. Standard Delivery
-
Standard Delivery: Delivery to curbside, garage, lobby, or first dry area only. No stairs, placement, or assembly included.

White Glove Delivery: Includes delivery inside your home (up to one flight of stairs), placement in the room of your choice, light assembly, and removal of packaging.
6. Liability & Limitations

We take reasonable care in handling items. However, Jay’s Removal is not responsible for:

Pre-existing damage, wear, or defects.
-
Minor scratches or marks from normal handling.
-
Damage resulting from poor item construction, improper packing by the customer, or unsafe access conditions.

Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided and does not cover replacement value of items unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Optional third-party insurance coverage may be arranged by the customer if required.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations made with at least 24 hours’ notice may be refunded or rescheduled.

Same-day cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted service cost.
8. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather, accidents, traffic, or other unforeseen circumstances.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of local courts.
10. Agreement
By booking or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
